The Midtown Center for Treatment and Research is a comprehensive outpatient program dedicated to evaluating patients and creating a path forward for recovery. Through a commitment to the growth process, we hope to guide individuals toward lasting change. Our program provides an integrated approach to recovery and wellness.

Services
Intake and Treatment Evaluation
Includes an initial evaluation session followed by a medical and psychiatric evaluation
Individualized Treatment Planning
Tailored to the individual’s needs; typically includes a blend of group and individual therapy modalities.
Group Psychotherapy
Our core treatment approach includes all aspects of the recovery process, including didactic/education and emotional support facilitated by a licensed clinician. Studies indicate that participants in a group setting exhibit greater improvement through the development of a strong recovery network.
Individual Psychotherapy
We employ a range of therapeutic interventions to facilitate recovery, including Cognitive-Behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Mindfulness, Trauma-focused Therapy with Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Neurofeedback.
Group Therapy Offerings
Recovery and Relapse Prevention
Explores how addiction affects body chemistry and influences behavior, helping participants identify cues, triggers and compulsions in the addiction dynamic to develop coping strategies to manage cravings and urges to use.
Anger Management Group: Helps identify triggers to recognize the early, physiological warning signs of a stress reaction, facilitating lasting coping skills.
Men’s and Women’s groups: Focuses on the issues men and women in recovery face in a unique group forum, addressing trauma, healthy relationships, boundaries, respect and self-esteem.
Dual-Diagnosis Group: Gives individuals with co-occurring substance abuse and psychiatric diagnoses the opportunity to explore the interplay between addiction and mental health.
Liver Transplant Support Group: Provides support for individuals both pre- and post-transplant as they share the unique challenges in recovering from both SUDs and major, life-altering health issues.
